WORKSHOPS & CLASSES

Summer Workshops for Young People in conjunction with Heather Wynne and Connected Threads Studio. Two workshops (July 5-7, three days, $180) (July 17-21, five days, $345) for ages 9-12 will explore handmade paper, felt, weaving and sewing techniques.  Days run from 9:30-3:30 p.m. and take place at two studios located in The Mill at Shelburne Falls campus.  Sign up link coming soon.

 

Nuno Scarf Felting, Two sessions. Friday, July 14 and Friday, July 28, 10-3 p.m. This summer I will be back offering adult (ages 15+) classes in the studio. Class size is limited to 4 people per session so students get individualized attention. Cost is $85 plus materials.  Materials fee varies depending on the amount of wool used (average $5-$7) and if a silk scarf is purchased through studio ($12-$17). Class fee includes instruction and use of all studio equipment necessary for the project. Contact- woolnweft@gmail.com to sign up or for more information.

Nuno is a textile that uses the felting properties of wool fibers to attach to an open weave fabric. This class will use fine merino wool and silk chiffon as the base for students to create a unique textile to wear. Suitable for beginners.
